Another Gun and Ammo Shortage?

Seems the health care vote got a lot of people riled up. I've been reading a lot of "Brother in Law always thought I was crazy but today asked what kind of shotgun he should buy" and "Neighbor figures its time to get an AR-15, asked me what the best kind of ammo is" on GIM and other communities.

Do you think we are going to see another gun and ammo shortage like we did post election?

I don't think the demand will be that much greater than it currently is.. until they start to talk about gun legislation.. then look out.

It's just around the corner, as soon as Oblahma and his band of thugs legalize 30 million new voters and tax the air we exhale. Some think he won't try an assault on the Second Ammendment until a second term, but I think it's on the horizon.

I dont think hes going to be a two termer, but thats just opinion. But you're right, I think once "they" push amnesty through, they will feel more secure in having a voting force to rival the "tea party" types and then they will work on the even riskier things like gun control.

They have voiced their opinions quiet bluntyly on guns, as well as their intentions. They dont like them, they think the AWB should still be in effect and never expire. They dont think joe blow needs more than a six shot .38 and even thats questionable.

If Obama makes it a second term and hasnt gone for gun control yet, "he" most certainly will in term 2. Of that I have no doubt.

Demand will take an uptick once the fed.gov announces gun control on the horizon.

THAT'S when it will all fall apart. IF NOT BEFORE THEN.

Keep your hands and feet inside the cart, it's gonna get ugly sooner rather than later.

A lot of Republicans felt that Obummer was not electable, and stayed away from the polls because McCain was seen in an unfavorable light by his own party. The result of that is evidenced by who is sitting in power now.

Make no mistake in 2012, get your asses out and vote. If you dont, I dont want to hear any whining about how it was possible for him to gain a second term. At least half our population is suspect for being against firearms and people like us that like them.

And it is absolutely imperative that we get out in the fall and get rid of all the bastards up for reelection.

Not yet. But keep buying. I am not making the same mistake I did when gold was under $500/oz and silver was sub $8.

Don't overpay, buy smart, but keep buying. I can't drop $1000 at once for ammo, but I can drop $20 here, $30 there. If done consistently, it adds up.

People were saying the Dems would be committing suicide to pass gubmint-healthcare. They've now done that. They've been saying the same thing about a new AWB ever since the old one expired. Just throwing that out there.

I don't know what makes me sicker, the thought of a second term, or the pictures of Pelousy on the other thread:puke:. I don't think he stands a chance at getting reelected, but I thought the same about Clinton.

I think it was more that they were unenthused about a bad candidate, who was not much better than 0 was. He was rammed down our throats, and that also left many R leaning voters with a bad taste in their mouths about the guy...

I'm sorry but you don't have a firm grasp on reality if you think McCain wouldn't be "reaching across the aisle" and putting "country first" to do all the same things Obama is doing right now.

I must vehemently disagree.

Repubs and Dems and everyone else had the chance to vote for Ron Paul but the populace being the stupid sheep they are went with the L/R paradigm. So, we're getting what they deserve.

I do agree with your 3rd paragraph wholeheartedly.

Most people already bought guns and ammo and the money has pretty much run out. Ammo is in stock everywhere as are guns of all makes and models. If new gun legislation comes up people will probably buy again, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. He just burned up a lot of political capital.

I can relate, some friends and family thought I got a little "over zealous" with my firearms and now they're asking me to go shooting, what gun to buy, what's a good price? etc...

Pretty much answered to question pretty nicely. Except for the ammo being in stock everywhere (when you find it it's mucho dinero), but then again I live in Los Angeles........
